⚽🐻 River View Celebrates Perfect Attendance! Over the weekend, several River View students with perfect attendance were selected in a raffle to attend a Columbus Crew match at ScottsMiracle-gro Field. What an exciting experience for these students and their families! We are so proud of these students for showing the importance of being at school every day. A big thank you to the Stay in the Game Network and the Columbus Crew for helping us celebrate our students and support the message that attendance matters. Way to go, Black Bears! 🐻💛 #StayInTheGame #AttendanceMatters #gobears #ColumbusCrew

Another important part of our March Professional Development Day at River View Local Schools focused on student data privacy and responsible technology use in the classroom.
Our Technology Director from the ESC joined us to provide guidance on Ohio Senate Bill 29 and what it means for educators when using digital tools and applications with students. Staff discussed how to ensure student data is protected, what to consider when selecting classroom technology, and best practices for responsible use.
As technology continues to play a major role in education, it’s important that we stay informed and thoughtful about how student data is handled. We appreciate the ESC’s partnership in helping keep our staff up to date on these important topics. 💻🐻

River View Local Schools had a productive March Professional Development Day filled with meaningful learning for our staff. One of the hands-on sessions was a Medical Bootcamp led by our district nurse Kenzie Fitch and our RVHS Health Teacher, Melanie Kunze. Staff reviewed important safety procedures including CPR, AED use, new choking guidelines, EpiPen use, Narcan training, and how to respond to seizures, fainting, and diabetes concerns. Staff also practiced CPR compressions and learned where medical supplies and Orange Trauma Bags are located in our buildings. We appreciate the time and expertise shared to help ensure our staff feel confident and prepared to respond in emergency situations. Keeping our students safe is always a top priority at River View! 🐻
