Welcome to Third Grade! My name is Shelly Webb and I am excited to be starting my fourth year as the 3rd grade Language Arts/Social Studies teacher at Warsaw Elementary. Prior to coming to Warsaw, I taught third grade at Union Elementary for one year, and prior to that I worked as a reading parapro at Conesville Elementary for eight years. I am a 1984 River View graduate and completed my teaching degree at Muskingum University. I also attended Warsaw Elementary as a child where I was able to learn and grow, and also to make lifelong friendships. I have been married for thirty-years to Tom Webb and we have two daughters, two son-in-laws and two grandsons, and a granddaughter (Coty and Katilyn Jordan, Grayson, Wesley and Layla) and Nick and Kennedy (Webb) Blakley.
My top teaching goal is to connect with every student personally. I also want to foster a 'growth mindset' within each of my students. No child should ever feel 'limited' in the education arena, working hard and not giving up is the key to success regardless of the obstacles. My students are free to make mistakes over and over, because mistakes are the pathway to learning. We are all constantly learning and growing together; I am certain that I will learn as much from your child as he or she will learn from me. I am looking forward to an amazing year with your child.
