  • The River View Boys soccer team improved to 12-4 on the  season  as they defeated the Maysville Panthers 4-2 last night. Scoring for the Bears were Nick Phillips with 2 goals, Jen Furio with a goal, and Cael Summers with a goal. Laired Williamson and Hayden Walters each added an assist. Anthony Morgan and MJ White each had 3 saves for the bears.

    The boys were also victorious in the jv match against the Panthers winning 8-0 improving to 8-1-1 on the year. Scoring for the bears were Derek Beitzel with 2 goals, Micha Hardesty added a goal and 2 assists, Hayden Walters added a goal and an assist, and Chase Wright, Kyle Roach, Wyatt Barnett and Remi Graham each added a goal and Deakon Ames added an assist. 

    The Bears will have their last regular season home game Saturday at 11 am as they take on Mt. Vernon. Please come out and cheer us on to victory.

  • The volleyball team won on the road yesterday at Crooksville in 3 sets, 25 to 9, 25 to 7, and 25 to 8. Leading the attack were Liv Spaulding with a whopping 14 kills and Kayla Dulgar with 19 assists, 11 digs and 3 aces. Hope Mickle served an outstanding game including 3 aces and a serving run of 9 in a row in the first set!

    The girls play their last regular season home match tomorrow. The theme is ___________. They love the crowd support, especially the student section, so come cheer them on! JV starts at 5:30.

  • Next Tuesday, October 18th, ALL seniors will be taking a field trip to the Coshocton Career Center for the Coshocton CARES College and Career Fair. All seniors in the building are expected to attend. This is a great opportunity for all seniors, not only college bound students. Those looking to join the workforce directly after graduation, stay local for college or certifications, those considering the military and those looking to start apprenticeships will all have something to explore!

    You will be dismissed from your 2nd period class at 9:15 to board the buses, and will return to the high school by the beginning of 4B lunch. Please see your school counselor with any questions.

  • The Boys Soccer team improved to 11-4 on the season by beating the West Muskingum Tornadoes 12-0. Scoring for the Bears were Jen Furio with 4 goals and 2 assists, Hayden Walters with 3 goals and 2 assists, Colin Addy with 1 goal and 2 assists, Derek Beitzel, MJ White, Micha Hardesty and a West Muskingum player each added a goal for the bears and Nick Phillips, Brody Stevens and Cael Summers each added an assist. Mj White added 4 saves, Anthony Morgan added 2 saves and Layton Massie added one save for the bears. 

    The Bears will be home Thursday against one of the toughest teams in the league  Maysville Panthers. ] We would love to have black bear nation to show up and to cheer us on to victory. 

  • If you are planning to be a Spirit Club member, you need to pay your $2.00 dues before the meeting on Friday during Club A in the afternoon.
  • The volleyball team lost a tough match in 5 sets to John Glenn last night. Cayla Shrimplin had 13 digs and 4 aces. Kayla Dulgar had 14 assists and 20 digs, and Haley Balo had 11 kills. They travel to Crooksville tonight to take on the Ceramics.
  • The Black Bear Band was at contest Saturday at Licking Valley High School.  They came in Fourth Place in their class and had a score of 74.8.  This is an improvement from two weeks ago at Bloom Carroll.  They will need to surpass a score of 80 to qualify for State Marching Band Finals.  

    This weekend, they host The Black Bear Marching Band Invitational here in River View's Don Rushing Stadium beginning at 11:00AM.  The bands performing include Crooksville, Coshocton, Union Local, Cambridge, Meigs, Ridgewood, New Philadelphia, Olentangy Liberty, Thomas Worthington, Westerville South, and River View.  Admission is $4.00 for students ages 5-18 and $6.00 for adults.  The Black Bear Band will get rated, but not scored this weekend, however, they can still qualify for State Marching Band Finals.  River View performs at 2:15PM and awards are announced shortly after they perform.

Scoring for the Bears was Jen Furio with 5 goals and 1 assist, Hayden Walters with 2 goals and 1 assist, Parker Andrews with 1 goal and 1 assist, Robbie Chandler, Brody Border, Brody Stevens, Cam Albertson, Chase Wright each added a goal, Scott Moses added 3 assists, Remi Graham added an assist and Cael Summers added 1 goal and 6 assists which ties the school record. Anthony Morgan and Layton Massie each added a save in the shutout win.

    The jv team was also victorious by defeating Tri Valleys jv team 5-0. Scoring for the bears were Cam Mobley with 2 goals, Derek Beitzel 1 goal and 2 assists, Brody Stevens and Chase Wright each adding a goal, and Hayden Walters added 2 assists and Layton Massie added 1 assist. Layton Massie added 6 saves and Cam Mobley added a save in the shutout victory. 

    The Bears will play again on Tuesday against West Muskingum. 

  • The Speech & Debate Team will meet from 4:45 - 6:00 PM today in Mrs. Ferris's room, A1. Speech is a great way to build confidence, improve communication skills, gain confidence, and have fun! If you are a former member or interested in becoming a member of the team, we hope to see you there!
  • Lady Bears volleyball was back in action Saturday after a long Fair break, with a 3-set win over Carrollton. Leading the way were Haley Balo with 10 kills, Liv Spaulding with 3 blocks, and Kayla Dulgar with 7 aces and 19 digs, which helped her surpass her one thousand career digs milestone! Way to go Dulgar! Your coaches and teammates are proud of you!

     The girls have a busy week, playing at John Glenn tonight, Crooksville tomorrow, and ending the regular season at home this Thursday against Meadowbrook. They will open up East District Division 2 postseason tournament play next Wednesday, October 19th at home at approximately 7pm versus Harrison Central. Mark your calendars to come cheer them on!

  • There will be a meeting for any athlete interested in playing basketball in the auditorium THURSDAY during Enrichment. Players should bring chromebooks. Please let Coach Belden know if you cannot attend.
  • TLC is sponsoring a sock drive for the month of October. Bring in new socks to donate to the homeless shelter starting October 5th. A donation box will be left in the office. Please bring in new socks starting October 5th through October 28th. We have made this into a competition with Coshocton.   • The boys soccer team improved to 9-4 on the season by defeating the Tri Valley Scotties 3-2 last night as they finished out their last regular season road game. The Bears were led in scoring by Remi Graham, Jen Furio and Hayden Walters each adding a goal and Cael Summers and Jen Furio each adding an assist. MJ white had 5 saves and Anthony Morgan added 7 saves for the team.

    In the jv match  the bears also won 1-0 improving to 6-1-1 on the season. Scoring the lone goal was Garrett Bullock and Layton Massie added 8 saves.

    The Boys will be in action next Saturday at Home 11:00 am against Minerva and it will be our senior night. Hope to fill the stands as the bears look to get their 10 win on the season.

  • On Tuesday September 27 the River View Girls Golf Team competed in the Division 2 Sectionals Tournament at Carroll Meadows. 

    The Top 6 teams and Top 6 Individuals not on a qualifying team move onto Division 2 Districts Tournament at Cambridge Country Club on Wednesday October 5.

  • Lady Bears volleyball won at home against Philo on senior night last night. Leading the way were Kayla Dulgar with 15 kills and 3 aces, Cayla Shrimplin with 10 digs, and Haley Balo with 8 kills, 3 aces and 3 stuff blocks! They travel to Maysville tomorrow to continue MVL play.Congrats to our seniors who were celebrated last night, Liv Spaulding, Bid Smith, Cayla Shrimplin and Kayla Dulgar!

  • The Boys soccer team improved to 8-4 by defeating the Beaver Local squad Saturday 3-1. The Bears were led in scoring by Cael Summers with 2 goals and Parker Andrews with 1 goal. Remington Graham and Hayden Walters each added an assist. Anthony Morgan had 5 saves as a goalie and MJ White almost stopped a Pk.

    The JV team was also victorious by beating the Beavers 2-0 improving their record to 5-1-1 on the season. Scoring for the Bears were Derek Beitzel and Carter Knicely each with a goal and Parker Andrews added an assist. Layton Massie had 10 saves as they shut out the Beavers. 

    The Bears will make their last regular season road trip Tuesday as they travel to Tri Valley. Hope to See You There. 

  • Girls basketball conditioning will be Tuesday’s and Thursday’s from 3-4:30 at the track starting on the October 4th for any girl 9-12 grade.

  • Girls soccer beat Mogan 8-1 last night. Alyssa Fox had 4 goals, Kylie Miller and Kamryn McGinnis each had 2. Kylie Miller, Madison Graham, and Kylan Wesney had assists.

  • The River View Boys Soccer team continued on their hot streak by beating the Morgan Raiders 7-0 last night. Scoring for the Bears were Jen Furio with 2 goals, Cael Summers, with 1 goal and 2 assists, Laired Williamson, Hayden Walters, Micah Hardesty and Parker Andrews each added a goal and Chase Wright added 1 assist. Anthony Morgan had 6 save on the night. The total team defense is what made the game such a great success. The Bears will play again on Saturday as they travel to Beaver Local for a 12 noon start.

  • Attention potential OMUN candidates: Because of the number of students out for 6th grade camp, we have extended the deadline to submit applications to 2:30 today, Monday September 19. Please join the OMUN Google classroom (code is listed in your grade level Google Classroom) and fill out an application if you are interested. If you have questions, email Mrs. Meiser.
  • The Boys Soccer team shutout the Zanesville Blue Devils 8-0 to improve to 6-4 on the season. scoring for the bears were Jen Furio with 2 goals, Parker Andrews 2 goals and 1 assist, Remi Graham 1 goal and 1 assist, Hayden Walters, MJ White, Laired Williamson each added a goal and Cael Summers added an assist. Anthony Morgan added 4 saves in the goal.

    In the JV match the Bears also shut out the Blue Devils 4-0. Deakon Ames led in scoring with 1 goal and 1 assist, Nick Phillips, Wyatt Barnett and Cam Mobley also added a goal. 

    The Bears will be at home on Tuesday against the Morgan Raiders. Hope to See You There!!!

  • Lady Bears volleyball split this weekend at the TCC tri-match, beating Hiland and losing against TCC. Kayla Dulgar had 16 kills and 16 assists on the day. Cayla Shrimplin had 20 digs, and she and Brittany Henderson had 4 aces each. We start a long home stretch today with the "Pink Out" for Volley for the Cure against Coshocton. Come cheer us on and wear your pink!

Sept. 16, 2022

  • Girls soccer tied Sheridan last night 1-1.  Kylie Miller scored, assisted by Paige Stone.  Regan Foster had 7 saves in her first varsity start.
  • River View Volleyball fell to New Lexington in 4 sets last night. Bailey Laudick led the offense with 11 kills, Kayla Dulgar added 10 kills & 16 assists and Alivia Spaulding had 6 blocks. The Lady Bears are 8 and 3 overall, 5 and 3 in the MVL. They will take on Hiland Berlin and Tusky Central Catholic on Saturday, then they host Volley For The Cure next Tuesday. Please come cheer them on and support their efforts to raise funds for the Susan G Komen Foundation for Cancer Research. JV starts at 5:30.

  • Girls soccer plays Sheridan at home tonight at 5:30.  This is Senior Night.

    Senior Ceremony will be at 5:15


    The Varsity Boys Soccer Defeated the Division 1 Dover Tornadoes last night 2-1 to improve to 5-4 on the season. Scoring for the bears off a couple of headers were Parker Andrews from a corner from Cael Summers and Carter Knicely from Hayden Walters. Mj White had 6 saves as keeper and only allowed 1 goal.

    The Bears JV Team tied Dover 1-1. Scoring for the bears was Brody Stevens off a corner from Hayden Walters. Layton Massie had 4 saves as keeper.

    The Bears will play Zanesville Saturday before homecoming at home starting at 11am. We hope to have another big crowd.

Sept. 14, 2022

  • The Boys Soccer team improved to 4-4 on the season last night by defeating the Sheridan Generals 7-0. Scoring for the bears were Hayden Walters with 1 Goal and 3 assists, Parker Andrews with 2 goals, Ayden Wheeler, Camden Albertson, Jen Furio, and Carter Knicely each added a goal ,and  Cael Summers, Layton Massie and Remi Graham each added an assist. MJ White had the only keeper save for the night as the defense layed lights out and were led by Laired Williamson, Brody Border, and Chase Wright as they shut out the generals. The Bears will be home tonight as we face Dover. We hope to fill the stands.

  • This Thursday there will be a dodgeball class challenge hosted by Letterman's Club. Sign-up sheet is located on Sr. Infante's door in room A-5.  If we don't get enough people to sign up, we will have a regular school day that day.  Stop by and sign up. 
  • Please drop off your items to Mrs. Moran this week for the Volley for Cure Basket by this Friday. Please donate $1.00 items to make a Movie basket to auction off next Tuesday, September 20th at the Volley for the Cure Game.. Any questions, please see her.

  • The Boys Soccer team lost a close one to state ranked Berlin Hiland 2-1 to fall to 3-4 on the season. Scoring for the Bears was Hayden Walters off an assist from Parker Andrews and Layton Massie had 9 saves in the goal. The Bears will travel to Sheridan on Tuesday and will be Home against Dover on Wednesday.
  • This Thursday, letterman's club will be hosting a class challenge with a dodgeball game.  There's a signup sheet posted on Mr. Infante's door (room A5), please make sure you stop by and sign up if you'd like to play.

  • Lady Bears Volleyball lost a 5 set match to John Glenn last night. Team leaders include Kayla Dulgar with 23 assists, 6 aces, 13 kills & 20 digs, and Cayla Shrimplin with 20 digs. Liv Spaulding added 15 kills and 2 blocks. Brittany Henderson dished 19 assists & Haley Balo had 13 kills. The Lady Bears move to 7 and 2 on the season. They would like to thank the awesome student section for always showing up and cheering them on!--
  • Mentorship will NOT meet on Friday, September 9th during Enrichment time due to our Club Schedule tomorrow. Mentorship will meet again on Monday, September 12th during Enrichment. Please remember I will take attendance during this Mentorship time, not you. I will send you another updated list of Mentorship Monday as a reminder.  I will be with my Seniors tomorrow during Enrichment not my room. Any questions, please let me know.
  • Attention potential OMUN delegates: We will have an informational meeting this afternoon in room 116 during the second rotation. 

  • Good morning.  On Monday, 9/12 we will be having a 9-11 ceremony for Seniors only.  This is because they are the only class that do not have a Social Studies class.  Seniors will go to second period and be dismissed from there.  They are to go out the door by Mrs. Byland's room.  The ceremony will take approximately 10 minutes.  This is part of Bree Washington's Senior Project on Citizenship.  Thanks.

  • Attention anyone interested in the archery club.   Archery club will be meeting in the gym tomorrow during enrichment.  You must sign out from your enrichment before coming to the gym.

  • Our first Spirit Club meeting will be held in the cafeteria during A1. You only need to stay during A1; A2 is only for students that are wanting to make posters to decorate our high school in Room 111. If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Moran or Bree Washington.

  • On Thursday: 

    Volleyball played against Maysville, Freshman won set 3, JV had a tough loss losing  in 2. Varsity took the win in 3 ending 25-4 Improving there record 5-1 

    Girls Soccer also played Thursday night beating New Lex 12-0 

    On Friday; 

    Varsity Football took home a win beating Crooksville 36-0 Touchdowns by: Cruz Mobley, Mason Giffin, Jamal Watts, and Ethan Jordan 

    On Saturday:

    JV football took home a tough loss losing to crooksville 40-14

    Boys Varsity Soccer also played Saturday against Fairfield Union losing 6-2

  • The Coshocton Canal Court Committee is now accepting applications for Coshocton Canal Queen. Any 15-19 year old female from Coshocton or surrounding counties is eligible. Applications are available in Mrs. Meiser's room (116), the Roscoe Visitors Center, or on the Coshocton Canal Royalty Facebook and website. See Mrs. Meiser or current Queen Aliah Williamson with any questions. Applications are due September 16.
  • Homecoming Court voting is now available on your grade level Google Classroom. Please remember you don't need to vote for a couple; you should vote for who is the best representative of your class.

  • Girls soccer picked up their 4th win in a row beating New Lexington 12-0.
