Superintendent's Message

Dalton Summers

As we begin to wind down the summer months and enter the Fall season, our students and staff are becoming more acclimated to another year.  The 2017-2018 school year brings new goals, new challenges, and new objectives. Please take time to go over the district goals on our web page. We are committed to keeping these as a focus.

The River View District recognizes that literacy and math need to be prime focus at all grade levels. We will be directing a great deal of resources and effort into these areas. We are also planning to make efforts to increase communication with our community and stakeholders to allow more input into the directions we take with many of our policies and procedures. Please pay close attention to the information released regarding HB 410, “the new attendance laws. “  We will have adjusted our attendance policies to comply with these new mandates and there will be some noteworthy changes in procedure.

Take time to come out and support our Fall sports teams. Our participation numbers are up and the kids love the support from the entire community. I want to wish the staff, students, and the entire RV Community best wishes and a great 2017-2018 school year.
